Private counselling has many advantages. You may choose to see a counsellor in private practice because of the high level of discretion and confidentiality. You also have the option to choose counsellors any distance away from your home. You do not have to inform your workplace or GP therefore any problems you wish to explore through private counselling are not held permanently on medical or work records. It is also symbolic of a client’s autonomy, a choice to empower themselves and the first significant step in forming a therapeutic relationship with their chosen private counsellor.What Brought me to Counselling
I came to counselling later in life having worked previously in various people led industries and my own businesses including currently a registered not for profit social enterprise called UK 8020 CIC. I have always been fascinated how people would flourish at work when they empower themselves to use their creativity and uniqueness . This same empowered spirit I believe can be used to flourish in your own personal life and relationships. No matter a person’s walk of life, I also noticed the immense benefit of having a confidential and safe space to discuss and explore areas of our life which at times are difficult and challenging to manage.What can I offer you in Counselling
I chose to become a Humanistic Therapist because it embodied the values and aspirations which I believe are the very essence of being human. I offer clients the opportunity to be valued as they are now and how they want to be in the future. I believe counselling is an investment in you and your future well-being.
